Winter Warmup Collection

The St. Basil Social Concerns Commission sincerely thanks St. Basil parishioners for their wonderful generosity and compassion for supporting our 2nd Annual Winter WarmUp for Cleveland school children. Parishioners donated over 800 hats and gloves and funds to purchase another 600 for a total of over 1400 hats and gloves.

SCC thanks the St. Columbkille WarmUp America Group for their incredible donation of 100 knitted or crocheted hats and 53 scarves.

These essential winter clothing items will directly help students attending Cleveland Catholic schools, the CMSD International Newcomer's Academy for refugee children, and a Cleveland charter school to ensure children arrive at school warm, focused, and ready to learn.

Paul's talk will explore themes of Catholic Social Teaching and how to apply those themes in issues we face each and every day. These issues include human trafficking, the death penalty, immigration and more. Catholic Social Teaching helps us understand how to discern these issues and what action we are called to take.
